The theatre department of Saint Joseph Catholic High School produces two full productions per year, typically a Shakespeare or classical play in the fall and a musical in late winter or early spring.  The program is a non-cut program welcoming students of all experience and skill levels to participate both on stage and behind the scenes. In addition to productions, we also participate in three theatre competitions per year, the Utah High School Shakespeare Competition, the Utah High School Activities Association Region and State Drama Competition and the Utah High School Musical Theare Awards Competition. Our students have achieved many accomplishments in these competitions and for a small school we boast an over-30 percent participation level by our students each year. In addition to performing, we offer acting, dance and technical theatre courses. Students can learn many skills associated with the world of theatre both in performance and design. We have a tradition of excellence both in the quality of our work and the plays we produce. This is a serious theatre program and many of our students have earned scholarships based on their work in our programs. We are proud of the reputation and respect we have gained both in and out of our community and love being a part of Saint Joseph Catholic High School's fine traditions.
